This is the team up we needed and deserved, I promise you. I really hope that there is a Hawkeye and Deadpool series that combines these two together because they are the perfect buddy cop film. We come back to the end of the fight between Deadpool and Clint where they both state how pointless it was. Enter Kate Bishop who comes to Clint’s aid. Kate not realizing Deadpool’s face wasn’t a halloween mask. IS. THE. BEST!!!! Duggan is so spot on when nailing the personalities of our two heroes and showing he can represent Kate Bishop as well. Duggan is bringing in more and more characters from Clint and Wade’s faction then showing how well he can make them all connect into his story.
Speaking of the story, The black cat is out here getting her kingpin on. She is smart. cunning and not taking and shit, She is also worried that Clint and Wade are getting too close so she is about to cover her tracks. We also see Ms. Hardy enlist in the aid of mother fucking TYPHOID MARY!!! So excited to see her back in action Clint and Wade know Black Cat is involved after catching her in the act of the cover up but how this story remains to be played out is still anyone’s guess.
Mateo’s art is sooooooo goooooooooood too folks. Everything is detailed, everything is glorious and he really captures the expressions from faces well. He probably has the best expressions for Clint’s interactions with Wade to date. I will def be looking for other works he is doing as well. He makes this book come alive in each issue thus far.
Get this book folks. Get. This. Fucking. Book.
