For all you Commander Shepards out there, BioWare made an announcement that will surely get your inner nerd going. The team have come together with Cedar Fair to create an interactive 4D ride where you’ll surely have the journey of your life. According to a press release made by a host of California’s Great America (where the attraction will be held) “guests will be taken on a thrilling adventure across the galaxy where they will travel through awe-inspiring landscapes, face off against bigger than life adversaries and ultimately help save the day.”

My body is ready. Is yours?

Along with the 4D experience will be a live performer and “incredible special effects.” Now I don’t about you guys, but I’ve been on plenty of 4D rides and only one of them I actually enjoyed (shout out to Curse of DarKastle). But that doesn’t stop me from wanting a taste of this. We’re living in a time where Virtual Reality is becoming a huge thing and we’ve seen some amazing displays despite the fact that many forms of it is still in development. We have the equipment, the knowledge and the ability to bring forth some of the greatest works ever. Maybe it’s the Mass Effect geek in me that wants this to work out but I have a good feeling about this.

If you’re interested, well I’ve got some bad news. The ride won’t come around until 2016, but Great America is giving us all a chance to grab some tickets and season passes on their site. Get them while they’re still available and let’s hope for the best.

Commander Shepard signing off.
