I need to know, are muh fuckas aware of what’s going on in Ultimates 2, man? Do you muh fuckas see this Universal Civil War taking place?! Whaaaaaaaaat the fuuuuuck, homie? Lord Chaos and Lord Order became a whole new being after observing their servant the In-Betweener and just started going on a 187 spree. They gather the remaining celestials for a fucking Saint Valentine’s Day hit. This shit is fucking crazy.

On a whole ‘nother front we finally get to see the Troubleshooters squaring up with the Ultimates and muh fuckas are matched up perfectly. Monica is finally stopped from going god-mode by Col. Terry Jessup, who is made up of pure thought and the speed of thought is faster than light. Blue Marvel has Chavez transport him and Rodstvow to a whole new planet and these cats start fucking the landscape up. This is a goddamn Wrestlemania match occurring right now. Jim Tensen is the peaceful one for the Troubleshooters with Kenobi-esque abilities. The highlight match up for me personally was seeing Kathy Ling against T’Challa, that interaction was brilliant. Dionne McQuaid has a very unique ability that’s sure to catch a lot of anime fans attention as well.

Listen, I’m trying to tell y’all that this is the shit I been waiting for. Al Ewing was saving his combo meter up to put cats on blast right chea. We seen the Ultimates problem solving for the most part, whenever it came to scraping, it was never a long haul fight. These cats are blindsided by the troubleshooters and handling that full court pressure.

Travel Foreman had mad movement in the art for this issue. Each fight looked unique with detailed close ups. The highlighting of the powers and skill sets as well as the sudden environment change for Adam and Rodstvow’s fight really puts this issue on a high plateau for me. I won’t even touch on how hard hitting the art is for the final page.

The pacing for this showdown has been a steady calculated pace, but Ewing and Foreman made it well worth the wait. Ultimates 2 is on another level with galactic level events occurring. I’m not even sure if these were obscure Marvel characters or characters Ewing made up for world building. We are getting peak storytelling right here, y’all.
