Black Fae Day was a dream that became a reality. Inspired by Kenji K’s post: JupiterJazz, declared May 8th to be Black Fae Day. Her invitation was extended to all other Black magical enthusiasts to join the celebrations. The day was dedicated to frolicking in pastels, meadows, and creeks. Faeries, gorgons, mermaids, elves, selkies, and so many more fantastic creatures came out for the festivities.

My Black Fae Day photos from yesterday. 🖤 Posted late because I'm incompetent trash that can't get my work done in time. 😭✨#BlackFaeDay pic.twitter.com/cZU3a6kcWF
A (rather) late entry for #BlackFaeDay my elf/demon bard. Do not ask her to sing that “toss a coin” song. It’s NOT happening. pic.twitter.com/eynSgui1ie

Teaming up with Brown Sugar Faeries, #BlackFaeDay is setting out to uplift BIPOC artists, creators, models, and photographers in the realm of fantasy x Cottagecore. Prepare to be whisked away to worlds of silk corsets, sunflower wings, extravagant headpieces, and picnics of mischievous joy. The Mad Hatter would be quite envious of the wondrous spectacle witnessed at these wonderful gatherings and photoshoots. I was lucky enough to be able to interview the creators behind this special day. Please enjoy! JupiterJazzPhoto by Core Elements Photograph
