Harley Quinn #19 Review

Writers: Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti / Artist: Chad Hardin / DC Comics If you want to pick up a comic book and laugh with every turn of the page, this issue of Harley Quinn should be in your hands. In issue number 19, we see Harley Quinn working as a fixer-for-hire with the help of her new gang, which includes a set of teenage quintuplets. The issue comes complete with the sass and snark that Conner and Palmiotti have continued to make Harley Quinn’s trademark, while also being lighthearted enough to make everyone chuckle at poop and barf jokes. The plot starts with HQ taking accountability for getting her newfound gang taken hostage by a juiced up sea captain and coming to the rescue. Meanwhile, the mother of the girls, who are actually only 14-years old instead of 19, is also on a mission to find out what happened to them after walking into an empty house. By the end of the issue we get to see another example of how people’s lives get exponentially more exciting when they cross paths with Harley. We also get to see her Dr. Harlem Quinzel alter ego, which is always a change of pace. This series is sure to guarantee anyone a laugh from the age of 5 to 55 and issue #19 is a continuation of that.
