The Pull – 02/05/2020: New Teams, Same Heroes

Here’s what we reviewed in comics this week that you might want to check out: Justice League #40 This is shaping up to be a Superman centered arc, which is fine. But it is a little unfortunate after having a book place lesser used characters like Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl front and center, while the trinity took a back seat. I’ve really loved how this series was at the base level just about dealing with your issues. It humanizes a shape-shifting green alien in the simplest of ways. While X-Men/Fantastic Four #1 reads more like a Fantastic Four book than an X-Men one, I think that works in its favor. The X-men are intimidating, alluring, and most of all, driven.
