Holiday Gift Guide for The Planner Lovers In Your Life

This goes out to all my planner people and my people who know my planner people. You know, 2020 has been chaotic, to say the least. We’ve spent the year canceling and rescheduling everything on our calendars (I done moved my wedding twice ;_;) there’s still something so satisfying about a beautiful weekly spread. Who knows what’s coming along once that clock strikes midnight on January 1 and 2021 busts down the door, but we can be armed with a pretty planner and awesome stickers. We deserve. So, whether keeping track of Zoom calls and virtual classes or just filling your pages with gratitude, reflections, and memories, here are the gifts to get for yourself or the stationery fan in your life.

PLANNERS & JOURNALS

The Happy Planner

When you think of grown folk planners, The Happy Planner probably comes to mind. The brand is super easy to find and available at most stores from Walmart to Target to Michaels to their own online shop. Happy Planners feature a spiral base (for folks who prefer that to bound books) and lots of options for customization. I’m talking sticker books, separator inserts, tabs, labels, and covers. If you want it, The Happy Planner probably has it. This year, they’ve partnered with Disney for their Mickey & Minnie collection. This cute black and white themed planner features plenty of design touches with the famous mouse pair with matching accessory packs and sticker booklets. Perfect for the Disney fan who wants to keep their life in order with a touch of Mousketeer whimsy.

Modern Witch Tarot Journal

For the spooky and witchy among us, there’s the Modern Witch Tarot Journal. If your goal for 2021 is to get into this mystical practice, then this is the book for you. Based on the deck of the same name (designed by artist Lisa Sterle), the Modern Witch Tarot Journal is a great resource for newbies and pros alike. Plus, it pairs with a really beautiful tarot deck by a woman designer, features a cute Black girl on the cover, and has lots of fantastic femme rep throughout the deck. Get it for anyone ready to add channel some magic in 2021.

Passion Planner

Passion Planner is a great company owned by a woman of color and know to give to some equally great causes. They offer planners in three different sizes and with weekly or daily spreads. While not as accessory-ready as The Happy Planner, Passion Planners have lots of space to show your personality and make them your own. Pick from any one of the beautiful covers or snag a free PDF to print for yourself. Or, for the extremely tech-savvy, grab a digital planner and all the virtual stickers to go with it.

PLANNER STICKERS FOR ARTISTS

Know an actor or writer in search of cute planner stickers? Etsy’s got the perfect stores with the perfect stickers.

An Actor Plans

If you or someone you know is an actor, theatre-maker, or just a theatre fan, this is the sticker shop for you. An Actor Plans has planner stickers for folks onstage and behind the scenes with fun inside-jokey stickers for plays and even sets for tech week. You can find sets with quotes and illustrations from your favorite musicals and a mascot in cute costumes. It’s nice to be prepared for when outside and live theatre open up again.

Procrastiplanner Etc.

One of my favorite sticker shops is closed for December but y’all definitely need to line up to place your orders on January 1st. Procastiplanner Etc. is a Black-owned Etsy shop that has plenty of cute Black girl stickers (available in different skin tones) and lots of options for writers. My personal favorite is the “Feeling Cute. Might write this book later, idk” sticker.

PLANNER STICKERS FOR BLACK WOMEN WITH STYLE

I’m gonna pop the next two stores together because their stickers have the same vibes. If you want images of women in your planner that look as fly as you, either of these Etsy shops will have what you’re looking for. Both have fashionable ladies in different styles and skin tones to take your planner spread game to the next level.

Krafted By Kayy

Get some stickers for the ladies of the Divine 9 in your life, especially the Zetas (Happy Centennial, ladies) from Krafted By Kayy.

The Wright Concepts

Pick from a wider variety of outfits, hairstyles, poses, and people when you shop this store. The Wright Concepts also has stylish holiday gift tags to make your holiday giving extra fancy.

ALL YOUR PLANNER NEEDS IN ONE SPOT

The last three stores have everything you could want or need all in one handy shop. From notebooks to specialized planners to pens and markers, any one of these places will get your planner game right.

Erin Condren

Get notebooks with cute covers that can be personalized and set with dot grid or lined paper. Erin Condren also offers her branded LifePlanner, stickers, washi tape, lesson planners, desk accessories, and more.

Goldmine and Coco

You’ll find planners, Black women stickers, greeting cards, and other accessories at this shop. And if you find yourself stuck trying to figure out how you’re going to fit the entire store into your cart, Goldmine and Coco also offers a monthly subscription box so you can send your besties (or yourself) planner goodies on the regular.

Notebook Therapy

This Japanese stationery store ships worldwide and has anything your crafty heart could desire. Notebook Therapy has all the calligraphy pens, markers, highlighters, brush pens, journals, washi tape, and more you need to make the perfect IG planner spreads. Or just to pretty up your planner.

So whether you’re stocking up before the holiday or planning a new year, new haul planner shopping spree, I hope there’s something on this list to tickle your fancy. Happy planning, fam!
