Hypnotic Sweet Treats: Mini Interview with a Creative Accessories Expert

At this point in my life, I surrender to my own “flaws.” One of them, is to the excessive amount of geeky, nerdy, and down-fight adorable jewelry and accessories I own from attending one convention after another. I first came across the cute Hypnotic Sweet Treats front when I interviewed the outstanding cosplayer, Jazzmin Jolly! I had the amazing opportunity of interviewing the owner of HST, so please enjoy. Age: 27 Career/Job: Fashion designer and Artist Favorite Quote by Marilyn Monroe: “Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.” Black Nerd Problems: Please tell us a bit about yourself? HST: I am a mother of two and Co – Owner of Hypnotic Sweet Treats. I started H.S.T. in 2009 and have been going strong now for 6 years now. Shane is our other owner, he is my husband and he keeps me from going crazy! I have been painting forever. My mother says that once I could hold a pencil or brush, I was making art. I just added painted bows to the shop they really help me release stress and I LOVE that they are each one of a kind! BNP: Where do you get your artistic aspirations and inspirations from? HST: When I was a little girl, it was always my mother, but now it is my kids. They inspire me to really go for it and be the best I can. BNP: If you could have one fictional character model your art, who would it be and why? Torie T: Sailor Moon because she is amazing!

BNP: What are your goals for the future? HST: My goal is to one day open a storefront. But until then, I want to shoot to be one of the biggest bow shops in the US!
