Update: Following the leak, the official trailer has now been released and is linked below in full HD quality. Let us remember April 2015 as the most unexpectedly awesome month to be a nerd. We were happy enough with Daredevil’s surprise success, and then we got a Star Wars trailer in the middle of the workday, and then the Lord said “Hey, you all deserve this one,” and the Batman vs Superman trailer suddenly appeared with a host of skeptical angels who themselves weren’t even sure if they should be excited about this movie. Consider my skepticism laid aside, at least for now, because this movie has my attention for the first time since Jason Mamoa was cast as Aquaman. Zack Snyder might have a price on the head of the dude who recorded this trailer with his phone, but today we will honor him by enjoying what he recorded for us. Click here for the link to the video, at least while you still can. It’s only a matter of time before the men in dark suits and sunglasses come to take it all away. The trailer is a compilation of quotes informing us to the world’s conflicted reactions to Superman. It isn’t until the end that the focus switches to Batman, as Bruce Wayne stares into his empty suit, his emotions building as he considers what he might be up against. Then he speaks for the first time, geared up in his bat suit from Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns: “Tell me… do you bleed?” he asks. Clearly a rhetorical question, as he answers himself… “You will.”
