Which is why now more than ever, community is such an important thing to not only have access to but create as well. If you’re a nerd in New York City, you may know Lan Party providing gaming spaces and Sailor Boom Party‘s Brooklyn cosplay parties. So you know a parties good when those two are sponsors for it. Enter the indomitable Victoria L. Johnson, writer, host, and creator of the Sailor Moon Day Party.

Usually, you can catch Victoria Johnson hosting her Sailor Moon Fan Club Podcast. She’s had guests on from Wrestler Mercedes Mone (FKA Sasha Banks) to the American voice actor of Sailor Moon Terri Hawkes. The podcast represented a place for everyone to talk about Sailor Moon’s influence on their childhood. The Sailor Moon Day Party represents a change of pace by providing a space for the magical girlies (and peoples) to gather for music, dancing, and eating. It don’t stop there though. There’s also going to be a nail station, astrology, gaming, flash tattoos, and more. This year marks the third year of the day party being held which will be at ParkLife in Brooklyn on June 29th from 2-8pm (tickets).
