If you still think the gaming arena is filled with angry dudes in their basement yelling about their upload speed, you haven’t taken a look at gaming in a while. It is evolving, faster than a lot of gatekeepers care to admit. One of those trailblazers is BlackKrystel, gamer and recording artist with Lost Rings, that is changing what you think gamers look like. This tribute compliments BlackKrystel as a cyborg wearing the iconic power glove. The same glove Huey Freeman of the Boondocks fashioned when he re-purposed some lost Nintendo tech. It’s also a love letter to the portrayal of Women of Color in cyberpunk with colors inspired by artist Nick Giassullo. It’s a statement that not only are talents like BlackKrystel what the future of gaming may look like, but that the future may already be here.
