Star-Studded ‘DUNE’ Trailer Is Here To Awe Us

Third times the charm! Today we were gifted with the first official trailer of the latest effort to adapt DUNE, considered one of the greatest science fiction novels of all time, to the big(ger) screen. Previous efforts were products of their times, from 1984 and 2000, respectfully. Originally created by  Frank Herbert. The series’ legacy has continued thanks to Brian Herbert – Frank Herbert’s son – and co-author Kevin J. Anderson.  Set in a fictional, far-distant future where a few noble houses lead a feudal society stretching across many planets–the books cover a sprawling saga with several characters, odd names, and a fondness that has seen the books loved by fans and sci-fi aficionados for decades. The adaptation has always been a tall order as it is the epic story of the son of a noble family entrusted with the protection of the most valuable asset–the most vital element in the galaxy. It also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista and Charlotte Rampling. The visuals look promising, with talk of war, family, madness, and even love lost amongst the clamor that the trailer brings.
