Sam Alexander is in a bad way. He fought against the Hulk’s (inverted) Hulk and took a super punch out counter to the dome that landed him in Paris. The kid has his arm broken as well as a bunch of other injuries, not to mention his helmet is going in and out on him (like reception on them antennae t’s back in the day). Sam is fucking DONE …but he ain’t bout that quit life. Duggan takes this issue to show what Nova Sam Alexander is made of. This time around he plays it smart as well as taking into account what he has learned in school to face the Kluh (Hulk’s Hulk). we get a good look at Sam’s thought process in finishing this fight because he has to, in wanting to learn more in school so it can help him in the field as well as life, and knowing his father fell short in lots of places but like him he was a survivor.

Baldeon wasn’t fucking around on the art of this either. His art straight details how hurt Sam is. Keeping in mind this is a young kid fighting. Sam ain’t a full grown man yet, so these are serious injuries showing up (black eye, broken arm, dented helmet, etc). This is a good ass issue that reminds the reader why they are invested in Nova. Duggan is trying to put Sam Alexander in the running for Top 5 Dead or Alive in the new legacy hero category. The heart breaking part is after the victory tho, we see Sam having to deal with an injury way worse then a broken arm that will keep him sidelined. Things bout to be as bad as the ever been for our young hero man.
