Fan favorite sci-fi thriller The Beauty returns with a brand-new comic series at Ignition Press from co-creators and writers Jeremy Haun (Murder Podcast, The Realm) and Jason A. THE BEAUTY Creative Team:
“I love stories having an ending. Even more than that, I love realizing that there are still more stories to tell–things that need to be said. Hurley and I finished the original series of The Beauty exactly as we planned…and then spent the next few years wanting to do more,” said co-creator and writer Jeremy Haun. “And this time, we’re joined by the absolutely brilliant Ema Lupacchino. The Beauty has never looked better!”
“This new series gives us the opportunity to explore aspects of The Beauty, the physiological changes it makes to the body, we never touched on the first time around. It’s great to be able to play around in the world we created again,” added co-creator and writer Jason A. Hurley.
“The art and storytelling on this new series has the challenge of making the reader feel the dual nature of The Beauty: the good, pleasant appearance… and the dark side of it,” explained Ema Lupacchino. “I’m exploring a new visual storytelling approach, and the color too will be a fundamental tool, that combine to create that feeling in the reader’s experience.”
Fans attending Comic Con International in San Diego can get a special sneak peek at The Beauty by visiting the Ignition Press Room in the Gas lamp District (643 G Street). Additionally, Ignition Press will debut exclusive The Beauty merchandise on sale for the first time including an art print and premium T-shirt both featuring art by Haun, two types of enamel pins, and a branded condom for those looking to avoid contracting The Beauty. Both Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley will be in attendance for scheduled signings.
