We start off the episode with Morlun and fam still wrecking havoc on the Spider-verse. This is the issue where it’s all coming to ahead tho. Morlun’s brother calls him out on not visiting Eaerth 616, “oh you saving it? i think you scuuuuuured of it”. We find Cindy Moon awaking next to Earth-616 Peter Parker. Upon them moving out to stop a bank robbery we see all the other spider-folk gathered. Spider-Woman, Spider-Girl, Spider-Man 2099, They all out here and drawn to Peter. The Spider-Man Uk shows up to inform them all that the shit storm coming. Oh, he also tells Peter Parker he is the greatest of all and the answer to stopping this threat Morlun’s family presents.
Meanwhile in the ultimate universe Jessica Drew & Miles Morales come face to face with the new danger of Morlun’s fam. Slot does a good job of making this issue feel like a jumping on point for this mega event. The stage has been set in the proceeding months for Spider-verse and it is paying off. We saw Daemos take it too the Scarlett Spider and merk yet another Spider-Man that sacrificed himself to save Kane. Slott got it looking like the red wedding out here for parkers and Coipel is on point with the depiction. As this was the initial kick off the is still a lot more to look forward to.
